Reservoir Engineering
The Reservoir Engineering Research Group (KK), Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology, is a scientific group that has a vision to become a scientific/scientist group that carries out educational activities, research, community service, and training of human resources with reservoir engineering knowledge to preserve, apply, and develop reservoir engineering science that supports the development of petroleum engineering science.
KK Reservoir Engineering studies an oil and gas reservoir so that it is well characterized so that it can be produced and maximum recovery can be obtained. In achieving this, the field of science of KK Reservoir Engineering is mostly upstream, including characterization of reservoir rocks & fluids, further oil recovery (Enhanced Oil Recovery), unconventional hydrocarbons and reservoir modeling & simulation.
KK Reservoir Engineering develops science according to the need for Reservoir Engineering science at the academic and industrial levels, both in the form of basic lecture materials and direct application to real conditions in the field. Several studies conducted by KK Reservoir Engineering are based on field cases and development of existing science. Many of the Reservoir Engineering KK’s researches have been directly applied in industry as part of problem solving for problems that occur in the field.
